After wedding shooting in Israel | The moment I booked the flight to Tel Aviv and started researching a bit, I knew I wanted to shoot there. I wanted to capture people and love by the ocean and this wonderful city. If you want to read more about my Israel travel, click here.
An after wedding shooting in old town Jaffa
So, I started searching and soon found the perfect couple. Rachel, originally from Florida, got to know Eran, a Tel Aviv local, in a bar while teaching English in Israel. They got married the same summer and are a great illustration of a mix of Jewish culture with a modern lifestyle. That’s why a stylish yet laid back after wedding shooting was perfect for them. Jaffa, the birthplace of Tel Aviv, is a coastal town with thousands of years of history. Drawn in by this long history we discovered that Jaffa has not only been mentioned in the Bible a couple of times, but also reached worldwide fame in the late 19th century through the export of oranges. The hills of Jaffa must have been full of orange trees, the scent of orange blossoms present in the little alleys and the port full of stacks of oranges to be shipped. Influenced by these thoughts we created our version of “Jaffa orange” for this after wedding shooting inspiration.
And not only I do love this shoot, but others, too. The Irish destination wedding blog Flyawaybride and the German wedding blog Frieda Therés featured this sweet session.
