In German we have the saying “Vorfreude ist die schönste Freude” (roughly translated into Anticipation is the greatest pleasure) and this is absolutely true for engagement sessions. I ADORE getting to know my clients before their wedding day and photographing them and their love. For Alena & Fabio’s engagement session we met at their wedding venue, the gorgeous Die alte Gärtnerei Taufkirchen close to Munich. And aren’t they just the sweetest together?
Die alte Gärtnerei Taufkirchen is one of Germany’s most beautiful locations. The team behind this venue offers different greenhouses in varying sizes for weddings (ceremony & reception) as well as corporate events. A bit of a vintage theme, lots of greenery, the industrial chic of a greenhouse and the most gorgeous light… I could shoot here every single day! If you want to know more or schedule a viewing appointment, go to their website.
And if you wonder why on earth a couple needs an engagement session – the answer is: there is no need to. But it’s such a great way to get to know a couple, to practise for the wedding day, to build up confidence and trust and to make Alena & Fabio (and me) look forward even more to the wedding day. In my blog post “Why I offer complimentary engagement sessions” I wrote about my reasons for them at length. They are included in most of my packages… and really, who would want such lovely images of themselves?
Thank you Alena & Fabio for being so great in front of the camera! For the laughs, for the smiles and for dancing to Die Beginner. I can’t wait for your wedding day! <3
