On my travels I do not buy souvenirs, I never buy magnets or pins and rarely send a postcards. I rather collect experiences, friendships and quick shoots that make my heart beat a little faster. The session with Yvette & David was one of them – the best souvenir one could have from San Francisco!
We met with friends in Little Russia, a colorful district in San Francisco. We had dim sum at Dragon Beaux until our stomachs couldn’t take another piece and then walked the neighbourhood for a bit. When I saw this pretty pale blue house with the matching garage door, I just couldn’t pass without taking some pictures for their engagement session. Completely unplanned, but that’s what I love about these kind of sessions. Aren’t the two the cutest? California offers a ton of stunning locations for portraits and one of them is definitely Presidio, a National Park right at the Golden Gate Bridge. A must for a San Francisco wedding photographer! We strolled the paths, admired the huge trees and had so much fun. Yvette & David are super sweet together and their bubbly personalities match perfectly. I cannot wait to hear from their about the stylish San Francisco wedding they are planning. And this is what Yvette has to say about these images:
“I feel like the luckiest bride when my friend told me her friend was a wedding photographer who would be visiting San Francisco and who would be happy to do a shoot while our here. This photographer turned out to be Carolin! She was so professional, we are very awkward and shy and she told us exactly how to do the poses that would look good (she even demonstrated with my friend) and talked to us as if we were old friends during the shoot so that we would feel at ease.
The result was a collection of amazing photos that are currently on her social media and more importantly populate our wedding website and eventually wedding signs. Her style is casual yet elegant, simple colors without much noise and most importantly to us, natural. Nothing look staged and we look and are very much in love and in our element.”
