St Petersburg Anniversary Session | Last November I visited my good friend and former bride Jenny (see more of her chateu wedding here) at their new home in St. Petersburg, Florida. We just got home from a relaxing day at the pool, when I received a heartwarming e-mail from Jennifer & Mike.
In this e-mail shared their story with me and the regret & sadness of not having pictures from their wedding, as a couple or now with their 3-month old son. Not because they didn’t want to, but because they weren’t able to afford a photographer for a variety of reasons. It was one of the moments when I realized just how important my work as a photographer is. We capture memories and fleeting moments. We bring everybody into the picture and we create art hanging on their walls for them to look at daily.
So, I decided to photograph them. Just because I wanted them to have some pretty pictures for themselves and of their sweet little family. To have the baby growing up and having this time in his life documented, to have created those memories visible for them. We spend a lovely afternoon at Redington Beach together enjoying the sun and the sea breeze. And let me tell you, Jennifer & Mike did a wonderful job at their St Petersburg Anniversary Session! And this is what Jennifer said about her experience at her St Petersburg Anniversary Session: “What an amazing experience! We were lucky enough to have Carolin in town recently and she took wonderful photos of my husband and I as well as our 3 month old. She was so thoughtful, gentle, understanding, open and a sweetheart! Would totally recommend her!”
