“The chances of them meeting were small, but when something is meant to be, even the smallest chance will do.” This sentence encapsulates perfectly the love between Nicole & Simon that I got to document in July as wedding photographer Schliersee.
I started to photograph shortly before the ceremony started and made a bit of time to photograph the details of Nicole’s outfit. Many Brazilian brides are super elegant and Nicole was no exception in her fitted gown with lace, cutouts and a stunning back. This may even have been my favourite dress of the season! Schliersee is a pretty little town in the Bavarian countryside about an hour from Munich. It’s super cute and there are a lot of things to photograph. But on this particular July afternoon nothing could beat Nicole’s smile, Simon’s nervousness and the beautiful ceremony at Christuskirche Schliersee. I loved the modern design and would love, love, love to photograph there more often – an absolute recommendation!
After drying their tears we all headed back to Schlierseehof for their reception. Big hugs, lot of kisses and a good amount of blessings were exchanged and Nicole & Simon were just glowing under the appreciation, love and friendship being showered on them.
Simon is working with trees and forests in his career as a woodman so we chose to incorporate both elements of the surrounding landscape – the lake Schliersee and the forests around – in their wedding portraits. Keeping is simple I focused on the love between these two people and it was so lovely to see how they were celebrating their love in those minutes on their own.
Simon & Nicole got to meet each other randomly at a Tango class in Munich and what started out as a casual dance found its highlight in this beautiful, intimate wedding. Just imagining two people dancing tango gives me goosebumps and I think it’s not without reason that they say “The Argentine tango is very special to me because it’s full of sensuality. The chemistry between the man and woman is absolutely stunning.”. And going back to the roots they obviously opted for a tango argentino as their first dance – what a show!
Nicole e Simon, muito, mas muito obrigada pela confianca, pelo amor e carinho que me proporcionaram durante todo o nosso tempo juntos. Lhes desejo uma vida longa, cheia de amor e felicidade e tango argentino!
